元日の描き初めは、次の日に時計の針を持ち越して、
手は懸けたが、朝になっても納得などいかなかった。
しかし、それは静かに受け容れ、元日の初々しい気持ちを思い起こしながら、
新しい今日の制作も始めたのだった。
寒いうえに、体調だって良いとは言えない。
頭は疲れ、身体はなかなか反応しない。
しかし、私の信条としては、
決めたからには境遇を受け容れ、行うしか道はないのである。
夢や現実がマイナスであった時、人はなかなか立ち上がれないものだ。
その場の享楽で虚しさを埋め合わせ、重い腰はなかなか上がらないものである。
その場しのぎでは、心ゆくまで納得できる充実した気持ちはまず生まれることはないだろう。
しかし、その境遇に真剣に向かい合い、運命の中で静かに我が足で立ち、
天に支えられた己を感じながら、苦難と苦しみをじっと耐える。
すると時間の経過とともに勝利は訪れる。
忍耐の時間的経過が、己の生命の成長と、周りの環境の成長を、プラス作用に育み、
そこに真の成功が果たされるわけである。
忍耐とはただ静かに耐え続けて我慢することだけではなく、
実は創意工夫も含む概念である。
創意工夫とは自発性に頼る努力である。
己の考えの中で小さくできる創意工夫をし、そのうえで日常の中でできる小さなことを行動し続ける行為。
成功と言える勝利は、実現される小さなことの積み重ねで生まれるのである。
