アッシュ

灰や土や塵などを、英語でアッシュと言う。

絵の具ではアッシュローズ、アッシュグリーンなど灰色がかった赤や緑などがある。

単色では何かとても年老いて知恵のあるような色に見える。

それらの絵具を何色か混ぜるとそれは何か不気味な色に変わる。

例えばアッシュローズは単色ではとても良い風合いの色だ。

しかしアッシュグリーンと混ぜると、緑と赤の補色の関係も加味し、何とも不気味な鈍さがあるのだ。

命あるものが、暗黒と灰の中でもがいているようなそんなイメージである。

アッシュ同士を混ぜ合わせると、命を拒絶するような濁ったイメージを創りだす。

まるでこの世の中を否定するようなシニカルな色にも見える。

 

創世記では神によってアダムが土から作られ、知恵の木の実を食べたことで、塵に変える運命をたどる。

人間の身体が最後に塵に還る運命をたどるのは、アダムの罪だと言われている。

我々の肉体は実際生物学的にも、朽ちてしまえば灰になるにすぎない。

灰とは、命とは正反対の死の姿を表すようだ。

エネルギーの枯渇した崩れていく姿。

アッシュという色も何か死に向かっていくようなそんな色に見える。

まるで強い拒絶や、意志を持たない虚無の姿のようである。

Ash, earth and dust are called Ash in English.

Paints include ash rose and ash green, grayish red and green etc.

In monochrome it looks like something very old and wisdom.

Mixing some of these paints turns something into an eerie color.

For example, ash rose is a very good texture in monochrome.

However, mixing with Ash Green also adds the relationship between complementary colors of green and red, and there is something unpleasant bluntness.

It is such an image that seems to be stinging in darkness and ashes.

Mixing the ashes together creates a cloudy image that rejects life.

It looks like a cinical color that denies the world.

 

In Genesis, Adam is made from the earth by God and traces the fate of turning into dust by eating the nuts of wisdom.

It is said that it is Adam's sin that the human body traces the fate of returning to dust at the end.

Our bodies are actually biological as well as ashes if they degrade.

Ash seems to represent the form of death, the opposite of life.

A figure that is depleted of energy and collapse.

The color of ash also looks like such color as going towards death.

It looks like a strong refusal or no emptiness with no will.
