「なぜアートをやるのか」

強烈に想像し、創造に結びつける。

アートとはそういうことだ。

何で自分がそれをやっているかなんかは、本当のところわからない。

難しいことをたくさん言ってそれを意味付けることもできる。

意味付けたことは、それはそれで真実だろう。

しかし本当は、作りたいから作っているだけだ。

どうしても作らなければ落ち着かない強い気持ち。

自分はどうであれ、作らなければならないと思う。

その強い思いが、「本当」なのだろう。

"Why do I do art?"

Imagine intensely and connect with creation.

That's what art is.

I don't really know why I'm doing it.

I can say a lot of difficult things and make sense of it.

What I mean is that it will be true.

But in reality, I'm just making it because I want to make it.

I have a strong feeling that I cannot settle down unless I make it.

I think I have to make it no matter what I do.

That strong feeling may be "true".
