「わからない事は素晴らしい」
わからない事は全然恥ずかしいことじゃない。
むしろ素晴らしいことなのだ。
わからないから、わかろうと出来るからだ。
わかってたら、もうそれ以上は追求しなくなるじゃないか。
わからないから、頭をひねり考えて、成長できるのである。
だから、「自分は知らないことを知っている」という、古代ギリシャのソクラテスが提案した「無知の知」が必要なのである。
また、知っていても知識に対しては謙遜的姿勢がいつも必要なのだ。
知っているからと言って傲慢で偉そうにしていると、人間はそれ以上に成長できない。
その分野のエキスパートであっても、赤子のように一から学ぶ態度が必要なのである。
わかってないからのびしろが生まれる。
そして、わかろうとする建設的態度が人間を今以上に伸ばすのである。
アートはまさにそうだ。
わかるアートなんかアートじゃない。
わからないからにらめっこをして、自分の可能性を伸ばすものがアートなのである。
"What you don't understand is wonderful"
What you don't understand is not embarrassing at all.
It's rather wonderful.
Because you don't know, you can try to understand.
If you understand it, you won't pursue it anymore.
You don't know, so you can twist your head and grow.
Therefore, we need the "ignorant wisdom" proposed by Socrates of ancient Greece, "I know what I do not know."
Also, even if you know it, you always need to be humble about your knowledge.
Humans cannot grow any further if they make a big deal just because they know it.
Even experts in the field need an attitude of learning from scratch like a baby.
You don't know, so there's a margin.
And the constructive attitude of trying to understand makes human beings even better than they are now.
Art is exactly like that.
The art that you can understand is not art.
Art is what develops your potential by staring at you because you don't understand.
