「冬の嵐とアップルウォッチと革細工」
12月に入った。
昨晩は土砂降りの雨が夜中中、家の外壁や窓ガラスを轟々と音を立てて叩きつけていた。
朝8時頃まで嵐のように降りゆく雨は荒れ狂い、暴力的に街を冷たく水浸しにした。
しかも一度、軽度の地震まで伴った。
そんな破壊的なお天候だったが、私はレザークラフト教室に行かなきゃいけない。
ああヤダヤダと思いながら支度をしているうちに、9時になると信じられないくらいに晴れ渡ってしまった。
そしてお昼頃、彼女にプレゼンントでもらったばかりのアップルウォッチを着けて、明大前の革教室を目指し、日の照りつける街へと繰り出したのである。
地面のコンクリートは濡れたまんまで、暑い日差しが襲いかかってくる。
自分のファッションポリシーのサングラスをかけて、直射日光をガードしながら教室へと向かった。
左手首に巻いたピンクゴールドのアップルウォッチが度々鳴る。
手首が振動して音も鳴るから必ずわかるのだ。
メールやメッセージを受信したり、知人から電話が不意にかかってくる。
スーパーまいばすけっとの中で名探偵コナンのように、腕時計で話してしまった。
SFの世界だったものが現実になったなあと感心してしまった。
来た連絡を逐一逃さないことにおいては、この時計はとても便利だなあと思った。
革教室ではシンプル革リュックの続きを、教室2コマ分の5時間製作した。
ベルトやチャックをつけて、だんだんと形になって来た。
先生とたまに談笑しながら製作に勤しんで来た。
そんなこんなの1日で、帰ったらバタンキューだった。
冬の嵐と、アップルウォッチと、革細工。
脈絡のないものが結びつきあった不思議な1日だった。

In the leather class, I made a continuation of the simple leather backpack for 5 hours for 2 classes.
I put on a belt and a zipper, and it gradually took shape.
