「クリスマス」
クリスマスは世界最大の愛の温かさを分かち合う祭日である。
世界最大の愛とは、世界の代表、つまりイエス・キリストの与える愛のことだ。
その大きさは宇宙を包むほどのラージスケールである。
クリスマスの日には、その愛を人類全体で分かち合うのだ。
キリストは人間の形で生まれた神様であり、この世の王で、世界の中心である。
その魂と肉体が過去に誕生したことは、人類にとって世界最大のグッドニュースだった。
なぜならキリストは愛と平和の神様まであるからだ。
実は、「愛」や「平和」という固有名詞は、イエス・キリスト自身のことを差しているのである。
だから、神様が生まれた日を世界中のみんなで盛大に祝いあう。
人類にとって、愛も平和も永遠のテーマであり、いつも追い求める理想であり、それ以上に素晴らしいものはない。
それを世界中のみんなが公に祝いあう日なんて、この日しかないのである。
クリスマスは、そんな素敵な祭日なのだ。
そういうモーストハッピーな日の最大のイベントは、何と言っても食事である。
家族や身近な者同士で食卓を囲み、普段食べられないごちそうを食べたり、普段できない話をしたりして、絆を深め合う。
実はこれが一番、愛と平和を生み出すのである。
ごちそうを食べることを批判する人もいるが、みんなで一緒に同じテーブルを囲んで、うまいものを食べ、うまいものを飲み、うまい話をするのが、人間は絆を深めるには一番なのだ。
キリストも自分が死ぬ前夜に、最期の晩餐をしているじゃないか。
あれは弟子たちとこの世で最期の結束を固めているのである。
誕生日だって最初に晩餐するのである。
言ってみれば、「最初の晩餐」である。
