「芸術作品の説明とは？」
芸術作品とは結局、作者の意図とは違うように伝わるものだ。
それは、誰でも自分の解釈で物事と世界を見たいからである。
みんな、こういうものだと押し付けられて見る世界が嫌なのだ。
芸術作品に対してもそうだ。
捉え方は１００人１００様。
どーやって見ようが俺の勝手だろ？ってわけだ。
人間とは、作品から得たイメージを、自分の知識や思想や経験と重ね合わせて、自分勝手に解釈したいものなのである。
人間樹海の多様性の中で、自分だけの正解を見つける楽しさ。
これがアートの面白さだ。
でも、中には必ず、作品に対する説明書があって、その通りに感じたい素直な人もいる。
そういう人のために、作家は作品解説をするのである。
他者に、作品に込めた思いを伝えるというのは、実直な鑑賞者がいる前提で行う行為なのである。
まあ、簡単に言えば、人間は結局のところ、言葉で言わなきゃわからない。
こちらが伝えた説明に反発して自分なりに理解する人もいるし、中には初めから終わりまで言わなきゃわからない人達もいる。
作品解説は、そのためのおもてなしのようなものなのだ。
また、作者の意図を最低限でも伝えないと、作者の込めた意味や熱意がないがしろにされたまま、作品だけが一人歩きする可能性もある。
そういう保険をかける意味でも、作品解説を行うのである。
