エッセイを書く魂胆は、自分の発想を人に伝えたいから書いているわけだが、自分が自分に判らせるためにも書いている。

普段私は、赤子のように何にも解っちゃいない。

書いて自分にわからせているのだ。

何気なく通り過ぎてしまう思いを書き留めることで、自分の人間性を固定しているのである。

I write essays because I want to convey my ideas to others, but I also write them so that I can understand them.

I usually don't understand anything like a baby.

I write it and let myself know.

By writing down the thoughts that pass by casually, I am fixing my humanity.
