「人の期待に応える意味」
人の期待に応えるとは、どういうことなのだろうか？
ただ「偉い人」という条件反射でペコペコと上司や年長者に頭を下げて、言いなりになる事なのだろうか？
甘えの気持ちを見せびらかしたいからであろうか？
確かに実社会では多々そうなっている。
しかし本当の意味は違うのである。
期待になぜ応えるかといえば、それはお世話になった人へ恩返ししたいからである。
誰でも、自分が過去より今に良くなれたのは、必ず過去に世話をしてくれた人がいたからなのだ。
自分自身の積極性や、能動的な習慣や生活態度は重要だ。
しかし、その気持ちや生活を実際に支えサポートしてくれた人たちが、あなたの周りに必ずいるだろう。
例えば家族は寝食を提供し、会社は給料を提供し、国家社会は安全や平和を、あなたへずっと提供し続けた。
どんなに貧しくても、必ずあなたは誰かの世話になったからこそ、今生きていられるのである。
そして、あなたはあなた自身の積極性を、誰かのおかげで発揮できているわけである。
つまり本当に期待に応えるとは、そういう人々への恩返しとして行う行為なのである。

What does it mean to meet people's expectations?
Is it just a matter of obeying the conditioned reflex of being a "great man" by simply bowing to his boss or elders?
